Chartered Political Legal Analyst CPLA

This program aims to explore the case for government intervention in the economy. Provide an overview of a variety of applied microeconomics topics used in public policy, as well as pertinent historical and international experience. Discuss the significance of economics in the political process and provide an overview of economic policy evaluation. It will include certain interdisciplinary components, such as political economy and behavioural economics.

This course will enable participants to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the requirements for successful microeconomic public policy interventions.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the causes for policy intervention variation across time and in diverse circumstances.
  • Evaluate policy suggestions critically, including demonstrating knowledge of empirical evidence sources.
  • Demonstrate understanding of specific public policy economics subjects.
  • Participate in public and policy debates on a variety of economic topics.
Minimum Qualification required to pursue the program:
  • For Graduates: Pass Level 1- Chartered Economist Exam
  • For Post Graduates and above in Economics: Directly pursue the “Chartered Economic Policy Analyst” Designation
